In the late 1950s, a man by the family name of Scardina began offering mechanical services to local businesses. Over the years, his business grew, and fast became known as a trusted name, providing top quality service. He purchased a small building and put a sign with his name on it. Established in 1960, the small building almost immediately doubled in size and began offering more than just mechanical services.
Quickly becoming one of largest distributors in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Scardina Refrigeration and Restaurant Supply Company operated under the belief that providing top quality services, exceptional customer service and using your experience to get the job done would always ensure the satisfaction of their customers. By making sure that the restaurant and kitchen equipment offered by Scardina is of only the highest level, we have established a reputation for integrity over the years and by providing fine service we have become the Baton Rouge area’s source for restaurant needs.
When Mr. Scardina retired in 2001, Kevin and Lin Mercil, employees with over
60 years combined experience with Scardina, took over the business and have continued its traditions ever since. By making sure that quality and service will always be associated with the Scardina name, the Mercil family continued to make the Scardina Refrigeration and Restaurant Supply Company’s a success.
